Koje lične promene zapravo utiču na broj?
Četiri stvari dominiraju otiskom običnog evropskog domaćinstva. Gotovo nijedna od njih nije ono što ekološke kampanje traže da promenite.
Aktuelno rangiranje
Računanje zasnovano na potrošnji pripisuje emisije sadržane u svemu što domaćinstvo konzumira, uključujući uvoze. To je pošten način brojanja, i proizvodi rangiranje koje savet za potrošače u velikoj meri obrće.

Red grejanja je mesto gde evropska domaćinstva imaju najveću pojedinačnu priliku, a uštede emisija toplotnih pumpi imaju svoju literaturu [4]. Takođe je najkapitalnija, zbog čega je nedovoljno zastupljena u savetima usmerenim ka pojedincima.

Da li kalkulatori ugljeničnog otiska rade?
Kalkulatori su formalno evaluirani [1], a poštena sažetak je da su edukativni, a ne računarski instrumenti. Dva kalkulatora koja koriste identične ulaze rutinski se značajno razlikuju, jer prave različite pretpostavke o intenzitetu mreže, sadržanim emisijama, alokaciji i sistemskim granicama.
To ih ne čini beskorisnim. Videti da jedan let nadmašuje godinu marljive reciklaže je istinska i korisna informacija, i to je nešto do čega gotovo niko ne dolazi samostalno. Koristite redosled, a ne cifre.
Promena ponašanja i njene granice
Intervencije za ponašanje koje su pro-ekološke su široko proučavane.
