És el reciclatge el més útil que pots fer?
Val la pena fer-ho, i constantment sobrevalorat pel públic en relació amb l'escalfament, el transport i la dieta.
El que les proves mostren realment
Els estudis sobre la percepció pública troben repetidament que el reciclatge es classifica entre les accions climàtiques personals més efectives, mentre que el càlcul de la petjada ecològica el situa molt per sota de les eleccions d'energia, transport i alimentació. [1]
Aquesta afirmació és molt més segura en públic que en la literatura. Es repeteix perquè és intuïtiva i comercialment útil, no perquè els assaigs la recolzin amb aquesta força.
El problema
El risc és la substitució: fer la petita acció visible i sentir que el compte està saldat. Aquest biaix d'acció única és un fenomen documentat.
